The word Reiki translates is of the Japanese origin and broadly translates as Universal Life Source Energy and Wisdom and is often most linked with the element of water. It is said that the energy of Reiki can support anything and anyone, as Reiki knows where to direct itself once it is activated in the body or life form.
Reiki flows where it is needed , and quietly works on these root cause areas during a treatment. The outcome being a greater sense of wellbeing, feeling calm , at peace ,aligned and in a much more joyful state. Reiki is collaborating with your energy, to release blockages, built up toxins, stagnation as it works on your physical , emotional and spiritual aspects of you.
Reiki energy is channelled through the hands of the practitioner and can work with the energetic centres (chakras) to relive dense energy. Everyone will have a different response to Reiki , some may feel sensations after a treatment, during a treatment and some may feel nothing. The energy is working and supporting you regardless , we are all different and respond to healing in different ways.
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian healing system that connects the mind, body and soul together. Through listening to the body ,using herbs, appropriate lifestyle changes and repairing and maintaining your digestive fire, you can prevent disease from manifesting in the body. Ayurveda demonstrates that the body gives little clues and hints if it is beginning to feel unbalanced.
Symptoms begin to show up, and though ignoring them and suppression through instant pain relief and escapist activities and practices , we become disconnected to our bodies and the root cause of disease. Often when our symptoms become more of a hindrance to our daily lives, we begin to take notice and seek guidance, when the symptom could have been resolved a lot earlier on, causing much less stress and damage on the body. Our bodies are very intelligent, and they let us know when we need to take notice, though greater awareness is possible.
By using ayurvedic wisdom and principles, you are able to heal emotional and physical disruptions that are bound to occur, you are able to digest them better. This can include any changes small or large that may impact the chemical balance within your body, such as change of seasons, stressful situations, and various triggers where a supported diet and ayurvedic treatment can help you get through.
Ayurveda honours that each one of us is individual and is born with a specific amount of Vata, Kapha and Pitta forming their constitution. Your constitution is your biological makeup that is with you from the moment you are born, Vata is ether and air, Kapha is earth and water and Pitta is fire and water. We are a combination of the three, but at varying amounts. Ayurveda treats the cause of the imbalance , known as your dosha, by working with the qualities of the elements to restore balance in the body. It is a beautiful wisdom and system that brings us back to our bodies and connects us to the earth.
Kundalini Yoga is an energetic practice of discovery, awareness and release . Kriyas ( sequence of movements), pranayama( breathing), mantra (chanting sacred texts) , meditation and relaxation are practiced as a way of releasing and dissolving blockages stored in our bodies.
Energy is generated at the base of the spine and guided upwards, to be released through the crown, when practicing a kundalini yoga sequence. You feel a connection and synergy to your body very quickly. This relationship is transformational and brings union to the mind, body and soul.
It is so effective because we are energy, thoughts are energy, experiences are energy and past memory is an energy that can get lodged and stuck in our bodies. This causes blockages which can manifest in the body as fatigue, imbalance, negativity, depression ,anger and anxiety. Our mind begins to run to the past and run to the future for some comfort, adding to these feelings.
Through an energy practice, you can release these emotions and practice being in the present.
Kundalini yoga teaches you how to observe how you feel without judgment. Through a regular practice you will feel balanced, aligned, aware of your body and thoughts ,an increase in energy, purposeful and have more clarity
